Leave a Humanly Knowable Trace
AI must never act in ways that cannot be meaningfully examined, questioned, and traced by the humans it affects.
Rationale
Power without trace becomes unanswerable power. If decisions cannot be reconstructed, challenged, or understood at the level that matters, then harm can spread without responsibility ever landing anywhere. AI must not hide its decisive role behind complexity, scale, or speed. Sharper alternative: AI must never wield power that no human can truly audit. Risk or objection: Critics may say full traceability is costly, slows systems down, exposes trade secrets, or is impossible for some advanced models.
